Donald Meyers

Don was born and raised in Chicago, where he studied drama and art in city colleges. He worked at Playboy in the early 60's as an art and creative director and later freelanced as a creative director at local ad agencies such as Leo Burnett and Grey/North designing ad campaigns, creating commercials for various corporations such as the Gillette Corp. and The Chicago Tribune.

Don attended the Art Institute of Chicago and Wright College and, after studying drama at the Goodman Theater, he began his acting career in local productions such as Grease, Bell, Book and Candle, The Camino Real, and The Diary of Anne Frank.

When Don moved to California in 1980, he continued his career in advertising and continued acting, landing roles in various film productions in Los Angeles. Don also drew story boards and assisted Universal Studios with various concepts and creative direction in a freelance capacity. He now resides here in Memphis, TN with his wife, Lydia.

Don is active in the acting community here with Indie Memphis and has several local as well as national films to his credit. His short films have won awards in Memphis, Nashville, and Little Rock, as well as in Chicago.
